Bruce Springsteen announces new album

It’ll be the 17th studio album for Bruce Springsteen and his E Street Band.

Springsteen is close to announcing the latest album and, according to Rolling Stone, it will be accompanied with a U.S tour. There will be some interesting things in the mix. With the passing of Clarence Clemons (on sax) to the possibility of Pearl Jam drummer Matt Chamberlain playing on the album, you’ve got to wonder whether this will be classic Springsteen or something a little…different.

I’ll go ahead and say this is one of my personal, most anticipated albums of 2012.

When I’m not around Illini Media you can find me dancing around town or drinking coffee somewhere.

The first single dropped this morning. Like you guessed, it definitely is different… the lyrics are really straight-ahead and angry. It seems that besides the death of Clarence OWS is pretty heavy on his mind.
