A Quickie With … Mit’n

As one of the many local CU bands performing at the Pygmalion Music Festival, Mit’n members Nikita Sorokin and Amelia Moore – two of our previous buzz staffers – in addition to Mark Hauge, Louis Morton, and Luke Bergkoetter talk to us about music, life, and current cravings. Catch the festival finale with Mit’n on Saturday, Sept. 22 at Mike & Molly’s, but for now, check them out right here:

buzz: What band/artists are you most excited about seeing at Pygmalion Music Festival?
Luke: The other band I’m playing with, Coco Coca.
Louis: Yeah, Coco Coca is one we’re pretty excited about, but really, we’re excited to hear everyone playing.
buzz: Did your parents ever get you started on any musical instruments when you were younger?
Nikita: Oh, my parents were like, “You’re going to play the violin.” I was like, “I don’t want to.”
Mark: I played the clarinet.
Louis: I took up the harmonica at one point.
buzz: If you could have anyone’s autograph, who’s would it be and why?
Nikita: Definitely the guy from Basket Case.
Luke: Jesus can sign my chest.
buzz: What is one thing you HAVE to try before you die?
Amelia: Flesh-eating bacteria…
Nikita: I want to lick Method Man’s arm.
Louis: I’d like to be good at math someday.
buzz: What are you craving right now?
Luke: The centerpiece flowers (in the lobby of the Historic Lincoln Hotel). They smell like Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
