Cut Copy’s In Ghost Colours

I’ve been listening to a lot of new albums lately, but Cut Copy’s In Ghost Colours is one that has really stood out. It’s been almost four years since the release of their debut album Bright Like Neon Love but this Melbourne, Australia based group has proven that its been worth the wait. It is hard to describe Cut Copy’s sound; I don’t want to say that they’re just another band that sound like they’re from the 80’s because there is more to this multifaceted band than that. Cut Copy manages to naturally blend the sounds of synthesizers and electronics while still sounding uniquely contemporary and modern. Trust me, once you hear this album, you’ll fall in love with it, and you won’t stop dancing all the way through. Every single track is catchy. One track that I can’t get enough of is the first song, “Feel the Love,” being so catchy that it took me three listens to move on to the rest of the album. This album is worth listening to, and this band is worth noticing. Cut Copy is currently touring with The Black Kids and are scheduled to perform in Chicago on May 7 at the Abbey Pub.
