Grammys Wrap-Up WPGU Staff February 12, 2012 Music News Just in case you weren’t watching, we have a wrap up for you of this years Grammys. Adele hit gold winning in categories that included Record and Song of the year for “Rolling in the Deep”, and Best Album for her hit album 21. Kanye West also took home 4 awards for his album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and his performance of “Otis” with Jay-Z. Bon Iver did very well taking home awards for Best New Artist and Alternative Album of the Year for his self titled album put out earlier this year. The new artist, The Civil Wars, also took home a pair of awards for Best Country Duo/Group Performance and Best Folk Album for their album, Barton Hollow. There were also many great performances tonight. Foo Fighters delivered rockin performances of some of their hits from their album Wasting Light. The night also saw the reunion of The Beach Boys who played “Good Vibrations” with Maroon 5 and Foster the people. The band has definitely not lost its harmonic sound over the years. The night ended with an absolutely incredible performance by Sir Paul McCartney “Golden Slumbers”, “Carry That Weight” and “The End” from Abbey Road culminating in a dueling guitar performance between Paul, Dave Grohl, Bruce Springsteen and other famous guitarists.
