Live in the studio

With Pygmalion approaching, WPGU will be conducting some in studio interviews and performances with the following bands throughout the week. Stop by the studio, listen or stream WPGU and be on the look out for photo galleries and videos of the events.

Tuesday
-Headlights: The band will be playing songs off of their new album “Wildfire” around 7pm. View the gallery of the session here.

Wednesday
– Japandroids 2pm
– Santa 6pm

Thursday
-BOB NANA: Local legend and U of I graduate. 1 or 2pm
-Joe Pug: Good friend to WPGU, out of Chicago by way of North Carolina. WPGU was one of the first stations to play his music and he has now played at Newport Folk Festival, Bonnaroo, and Lollapalooza. 3pm
-Company of Thieves: Chicago band whose debut album “Ordinary Riches” has made it’s way up to the Billboard 200 this year. 4:30pm

Friday
-The Antlers: Started off as a solo project in Brooklyn. The band has made its first Illinois appearance this summer at Pitchfork. Time TBA
-Cameron McGill and What Army? 3 or 4pm
