North Coast Music Festival is a different type of festival to hit the streets of the Windy City than the typical Lollapalooza’s or Pitchfork’s. The inaugural event starts up this weekend in Union Park and the bill is filled with an eclectic mix of hip hop, electo, jam bands and most everything in between.
Festival artists include The Chemical Brothers, De La Soul, the new found rap/reggae duo Nas & Damian Marley, Chicago’s own Lupe Fiasco, as well as Maps & Atlases, up and coming electro-pop band Phantogram and many more local artists.
