2. Where did you get your band name?
The Leonardo DaVinci sketches of flying machines. With our knowledge of flight today, they obviously would never work, but there’s something poetic about that.
3. When did you start performing together?
This current lineup has been together since September of this year.
4. Who is your greatest musical influence?
Vampire Weekend. Definitely.
5. Describe your sound in 3 works or less.
Noise Folk
6. Do you have any pre-show rituals or superstitions?
I [Ben] write the set list out on my arm in sharpie marker, Zane tries to find a drum set, and Laura drinks a handle of Jack Daniels.
7. What is your favorite place to perform?
The Canopy. They actually care about the music and not just who brings the most people. Then again, we’ve played there a lot, so maybe it’s also the familiarity.
8. What is your latest album called?
It’s a CD-R demo. It doesn’t really have a name, I just write ‘Demo!’ on every one.
9. When is your next performance?
April 24
10. If you could perform with anyone in the history of music, who would it be?
Abraham Lincoln. On the keytar.

The Books my freshman year at the courtyard café. They had really cool found video footage to match the found sounds they used.
