Piracy is a pretty big issue, but freedom of speech is a bigger one…
The bills being passed through Congress right now, SOPA and PIPA, have created an immense amount of controversy lately. With the Wikipedia, Reddit, BoingBoing, etc. blackout yesterday, 18 senators have backed away from the proposed legislation, and 4.5 million people signed a petition against the acts.
How this is still even being supported at all?
Do the remaining supporters know how catastrophic SOPA and/or PIPA would be to our society? I probably couldn’t even be posting this right now with those copyrighted website names above in a SOPA/PIPA controlled world…
Congress, if you’re looking for a revolution, pass those bills!
I’m hoping you find your brains before that happens.
With (tough) love,
