Pete Doherty has 12 songs together and is getting ready to put out a solo album, his first since 2009. Over the past few years the ex-Libertine front man has been known more for showing up in the tabloids about his arrests, drug usage, or his relationships. But despite his shortcomings, I still think he’s a talented artist and I will be looking forward to the new material. The documentary “There Are No Innocent Bystanders,” was released this spring about the Libertines. Drummer Gary Powell said that he hopes when people see the movie that they realize the band members were not just “drug taking idiots” and that he would rejoin the band as long as it was with the original members. I guess we will see.
