What the hell?

Singing in German is cool again, according to the International Herald Tribune on July 25th, 2005. Music sales were down in Germany over the last year, when sales fell to forty percent. This year, however, sales are showing more life, apparently because of the local music revival. “It’s considered cool again to sing in German. Culturally, after all that has happened in Germany, people accept listening to German texts again. Even young people,” said chief executive of Universal Music Germany, Frank Briegmann. Insert David Hasselhoff joke here.
