Spring 2020 Concert Series

1/23 – Mungion

As a self-described “funky progressive rock jam band,” Mungion formed in the Spring of 2015. This Chicago quartet is known for its quirky nature and its debut album, “Scary Blankets,” released in 2016.

1/25 – Figure + Protohype

Josh Gard, better known as Figure, is mostly known for his Monsters series, which are dubstep tracks with horror movie samples. Figure has released nine volumes of Monsters so far and Universal Studios has used it in their yearly Halloween Horror Nights. Don’t miss out on what is sure to be the spookiest set Canopy Club has ever seen!

2/5 – Subtronics

Subtronics is an American dubstep and riddim DJ, best known for his song “Griztronics,” released in 2019. His mixtape series, Now That’s What I Call Riddim, has gained traction since being first released in 2017 and is now on its fourth volume.

2/7 – Summer Camp: On the Road

Missed the chance to go to Summer Camp last year? Have no fear, Summer Camp is coming to Canopy Club! The 20-year-old festival is traveling in search of the best talent throughout the country. Check out the local Champaign-Urbana talent!

2/16 – Lil TJay

Lil Tjay began his rap career by uploading his music on SoundCloud at the tender age of 16 years old. Just two years later, Lil Tjay has released his debut album True 2 Myself including collaborations with Lil Wayne and Lil Baby.

2/17 – NGHTMRE

NGTMRE began his musical career after obtaining a degree in Finance from Elon University. He continued his education at Icon Collective Music Production School, paving the way for future collaborations with the producers of SLANDER. Most recently, NGHTMRE has released a number of singles with artists like A$AP Ferg and Shaq.

3/8 – The Floozies with Sunsquabi

The electronic duo the Floozies burst onto the music scene from the liberal oasis of Lawrence, Kansas. Brothers Matt and Mark Hill share music tastes that go beyond EDM, allowing them to bring fresh samples to their music. You won’t want to miss this funky duo!

3/12 – Boogie T & Boogie T.rio Live Band

Brock Thornton, also known as Boogie T, hails from the South which clearly shows through his Southern soul-style music. Most recently, Boogie T has launched his own label, Drama Club Recordings and co-headlined his own tour with SQUINTO.

4/12 – Minnesota

Hailing from Santa Cruz, CA, Minnesota is known for his frantic energy and pounding bass. His goal is to create an authentic experience for his audience, breaking away from the various subgenres of EDM. As a result, his sound is smooth and melodic, celebrated by fans nationwide.
