WPGU Goes Lolla

By definition, it’s an extraordinary or unusual thing, person, or event; an exceptional example or instance. But over the years, Lollapalooza has come to embody a lot more than just an incredible music festival. What started out as a farewell tour for Jane’s Addiction grew into something that changed the way we experience music forever.
This year, Lollapalooza is celebrating its 20th anniversary and is sparing no expense. With 8 stages and over 130 bands, all nestled in the beautiful Grant Park in Chicago, there isn’t any other place you should be this weekend. Lollapalooza knows no boundaries, spanning from experimental rock to rap and bringing you some of the biggest acts of our time as well as those on the rise. From Coldplay, My Morning Jacket, Foo Fighters and Muse to Eminem, Explosions In The Sky, Bright Eyes, Lykke Li and Arctic Monkeys, Lollapalooza isn’t skipping a beat this year. And you don’t have to miss a single performance. For the first time, you can watch live webcasts of Lollapalooza on YouTube.

Lollapalooza is sold out, but if you took the necessary step in buying tickets months in advance, make sure to check out the new layout of the festival. You’ll be surprised and anxious to see the new look for your music headquarters in Grant Park this weekend. And get rested up tonight and ready for tomorrow… it’s going to be a weekend to remember.
