If you were impressed by Bobby Womack’s work on the Gorillaz’s Plastic Beach or The Fall, you should check out this track from Womack’s first album in 20 years. The album, The Bravest Man in the Universe, is being produced by Gorillaz front-man Damon Albarn along with Richard Russel. Instead of trying to recreate Womack’s old feel, the album embraces a new sound that definitely has a Gorillaz feel for it. The song is a wonderful instance of the past and the present coming together to make something great.
